Privacy Policy

Overview
BeatDrop is a heart rate-based interval training app for Apple Watch. Your privacy is simple: all your data stays on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal or health data on external servers.
Data We Access
BeatDrop requests access to the following HealthKit data types through Apple's Health framework:
- Heart Rate — read during workouts to drive interval cues and track performance
- Resting Heart Rate — read to monitor recovery trends and adjust coaching
- VO2 Max — read to inform fitness level assessments
- Active Energy Burned — read and written as part of workout sessions
- Workouts — written to save your interval training sessions to Apple Health
- Exercise Minutes — read to understand recent training load
How We Use Your Data
- All health data is processed locally on your Apple Watch
- Session history is stored on-device using Apple's SwiftData framework
- Coaching recommendations are computed on-device using your health metrics
- No data is sent to any server, cloud service, or third party
- No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs are included in the app
Data Sharing
BeatDrop does not share your data with anyone. The only data export feature is a local CSV export of your session history, which you control entirely through Apple's share sheet.
Data Retention
Your session history and fitness profile are stored on your device for as long as the app is installed. Uninstalling BeatDrop removes all app data. Health data written to Apple Health (workouts) is managed by the Health app and persists independently.
Children's Privacy
BeatDrop is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
